UP Scholarship 2023-2024 Application Steps/Guidelines

To ease the application process, the government of Uttar Pradesh has launched its online system for scholarship and fee reimbursement.

All eligible students can apply for the respective scholarships through this online system only during the prescribed application tenure. Here is a brief detail about the application process that you need to follow to apply for any of the scholarships offered by the UP government.

Step 1: New student registration

• Visit the official website scholarship.up.gov.in of UP Government’s Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Online System.
• Click on the “Student” section and select “New Registration”.
• Select the scholarship for which you want to apply.
• Fill in all mandatory details that are marked with an *.
• Click on “Submit” to register.
• Take the printout of the registration slip for future references.

Step 2: Student Login

• Once registered, click on the “Student” section and select the “Fresh Login” option for fresh applications and the “Renewal Login” option for renewal applications as per the scholarship you are applying for.
• Log in using the registration number, date of birth and password.
• The page containing important instructions regarding form filling will open.
• Read all instructions carefully and tick on the box given at the end of the page and click “Proceed”.

Step 3: Filling out the scholarship application

• Clicking on the “Proceed” button will direct the user to the user dashboard.
• Click on the “Fill in the application form” section.
• Fill in further details in the scholarship application form.
• Click on submit.

Step 4: Upload all supporting documents

After submitting the application form, the students need to upload their photographs and other supporting documents.

Step 5: Final submission online

Before heading on to make the final submission of the application form, the applicants are advised to go through every piece of information filled out carefully to avoid any kind of discrepancy afterward. Also, there is no provision for making changes to the information filled by the applicant, once you finally submit the application form.

Step 6: Submission of form at the respective educational institution

After the final submission of the scholarship application form, the applicants are required to take the printout of the form and submit it along with other supporting documents to their respective educational institutions.

Applicants check the status of the UP Scholarship by following the steps as given below:

• Step 1: First of all, visit the official website of UP Scholarship Status– scholarship up gov in or, or go through a direct link, given below on this page.
• Step 2: At the home page, Click on Menu Bar and on the “Student” tab, a new page will open in a new tab like this which is shown in the image
• Step 3: After clicking on the “Student” tab Select the scholarship type (Login or Renewal for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Dashmottar, or Other Than Inter Student) for which you have applied.
• Step 4: Now enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth, Password or Verification Code, and Captcha Code to complete the login process
• Step 5: At last, click on Submit Button to check the status
• Step 6: Now, at the left side of the Homepage, click on “Check Current Status“

To check the UP Scholarship Payment Status through PFMS (Public Financial Management System) portal, you can follow the below-mentioned steps:

1. Go to the official PFMS website at https://pfms.nic.in
2. Click on the “Know Your Payments” tab on the homepage.
3. Enter your Bank Account Number and Captcha Code in the respective fields.
4. Now, click on the “Send OTP on Registered Mobile No” button to proceed.
5. After OTP verification, the system will show you the payment status of your scholarship.
